The Dingling Tomb is one of the tombs at the Ming Dynasty Tombs site. It belongs to Wanli Emperor, the thirteenth emperor who occupied the throne during the Ming Dynasty for 48 years, the longest among all of the emperors of the Ming Dynasty. The Dingling tomb is the only Ming Dynasty Tombs to have been excavated. The tomb has great historical value, and consist of main features such as the Stone Bridge, Soul Tower, Baocheng and the Underground Palace, which was unearthed between 1956 and 1958. The Soul Tower forms the entrance to the underground chambers and is a symbol of the tomb.

The Eastern Qing tombs are an imperial mausoleum complex of the Qing dynasty located in Zunhua, 125 kilometres northeast of Beijing. They are the largest, most complete, and best preserved extant mausoleum complex in China.

The word hutong was from Mongolian, which mostly built during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. They are the narrow networks of lanes created by closely built quadrangular homes. The houses and courtyards, hidden away and boxed in, are themselves closed off with wooden gates that often have carved characters intended to bring good fortune to the house owner and his trade. You will ride through the narrow alleys to visit a home for tea and meet a typical family. The residents, who have lived through great changes, interesting and sometimes difficult times, are delighted in answering questions.

Sacred Way is a arch which is one kilometer north of the the main gate of the Ming Tomb area - the main gate of the palace called the Great Red Gate. There are two tablets used to be placed on both sides of the gate which said: "Dignitaries, officials and other persons arriving here must dismount from their horses. The central entrance was reserved for the body of the dead emperor; the living emperor had to use the left entrance when he came to pay homage to his ancestors. One more kilometer north of the main gate of the palace is a stele pavilion, on the back of the stele marble was engraved resume of Zhu Di, the emperor - Chenzu of the Ming Dynasty and on the upper front was engraved some characters. The stele is carried on a marble tortoise, which, according to Chinese Legend, is the Son of Dragon, which the emperor called himself.
Ming Tombs are the cemeteries of the 13 Ming emperors, 23 empresses, and many imperial concubines, crown princes and princesses after the Ming Dynasty moved its capital city to Beijing. Ming Tombs covers 40 square kilometers in the Changping District. The unique ensemble of cultural landscapes is evidence to a cultural and architectural tradition that surpassed the Ming Dynasty and had an everlasting impact in Chinese history. It boasts high historic and cultural values due to its grand architecture, complete system and long history.

The Tiananmen "Gate " to the Forbidden City was built in 1415 during the Ming Dynasty. Towards the demise of the Ming Dynasty, heavy fighting between Li Zicheng and the early Qing emperors damaged (or perhaps destroyed) the gate. The Tiananmen square was designed and built in 1651, and has since enlarged four times its original size in the 1950s.The Tiananmen, the third largest city square in the world is named after the Tiananmen Gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace) located to its North which separates it from the Forbidden City. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history.
Visit to Forbidden City - the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty for almost 500 years. This also served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government.
The Forbidden City is one of the world?s most famous historical sites. Located to the north of Tiananmen Square, it served as the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Covering some 74 hectares, the Forbidden City (or Palace Museum as it is now called) is the world?s largest palace complex. The color yellow is one of the main features that you will see as you make your entrance into the Forbidden City. Yellow is the symbol of the royal family and roofs of the 9,999 buildings except one were built using yellow glazed tiles. Even the bricks on the ground were made yellow using a special process.

The Temple of Heaven, one of the most strictly protected and preserved cultural heritages of China. The Temple used to serve as an exclusive altar for Chinese monarchs during the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest.The Temple of Heaven, literally the Altar of Heaven express in simplified Chinese is a complex of religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. It has been regarded as a Daoist temple, although Chinese heaven worship, especially by the reigning monarch of the day, predates Daoism.
The Summer Palace in Beijing China as you see it to-day is mainly dominated by Longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake. It covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometers, three quarters of which is water. The history of the Summer Palace dates back during the Jin Dynasty 1122. What is more popularly shared by our guide is that in 1888, it was given the current name, Yihe Yuan as it served as a summer resort for the Empress Dowager Cixi.

On the way back from the Great Wall of China visit, Stop by the Olympic Stadium for a quick photo opportunity at the Water Cube and the Bird's Nest. Located at the Olympic Green, the stadium cost US$428 million. The design was awarded to a submission from the Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron in April 2003 after a bidding process that included 13 final submissions. The design, which originated from the study of Chinese ceramics, implemented steel beams in order to hide supports for the retractable roof; giving the stadium the appearance of a bird's nest.
