Visit and explore four revered temples in Chiang Mai. All was constructed during the Lanna period; each reflects the glory, splendors and nobility of a rich historical era.

In the center of the city lies Wat Phra Singh first built during the reign of Phra Chao Kham Fu (1328-1335). The temple‟s compound includes the Lai Kam Chapel and the abbot of this important temple is the head of the local religious administration. Lying smack in the heart of the city (almost right in the middle of the square-walled city) is Wat Chedi Luang, the large Chedi (the biggest in the city) behind the viharn was constructed by King Saen Muang Ma around 1401. Originally 90 meters high, it is now a mere 40 meters as the result of an earthquake in 1545. A small building near the main entrance encloses the “Sao Intakin” (spirit of the city). Last but not least is Wat Chiang Man, lying in the Northern part of the old walled city; it is the oldest temple within the city walls. Constructed by King Mengrai (1296-1311) the founder of Chiangmai, it is said that the king spent his last years in this temple. Drive around the old city to see the moat surrounding it and the ruins of the city gates. Then visit the largest central market, Wororot Market, alive with its daily hustle and bustle. Exotic fresh fruits, preserved food, local delicacies, clothes galore, flowers and other snacks, all at reasonable prices.

Chiang  Mai  or  ‘the  rose  of  the  north’ is  often  mentioned a  quiet  little paradise of Lanna-temples and culture. These days this could take a little help to discover, so follow your guide trough the lanes and up to the temple on Doi Suthep!

Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep is the most important and famous temple in Chiang Mai. The tour begins with a pleasant wildly driving up 3,500 feet above sea level to the sacred temple of Doi Suthep. You then ascend up the 306 steps to the temple gateway which guarded by two splendid Nagas (king of serpents). Walk around the grounds of Doi Suthep past golden pillars, six foot gongs and rows of bells. A five tiered parasols made of gold sat on display in the inner courtyard. Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep was built in 1383, is the symbol of Chiang Mai. It is the most sacred temple in the city and contains the holy relic of the Lord Buddha which is enshrined in the magnificent golden pagoda that can be seen for miles around. A panoramic view of the city and the surrounding countryside can be seen from the temple grounds.

Feeding the Elephants. After unloading and distributing fruit treats you will have a chance to feed the elephants from the viewing platform.

Lunch: Enjoy a sumptuous and varied vegetarian buffet of Asian and International dishes.         

Walk with our staff and the elephants to the river that skirts the park. Watch these gentle giants as they splash around and play while you stay dry on the river bank.

Late afternoon and it`s time for goodbyes to the elephants and to Elephant Nature Park before the hour-long drive back to Chiang Mai where you will be dropped off at your accommodations.

Warorot Market (or Kad Luang) is a must-visit for food lovers as it offers a wide range of ready-to-eat meals, local snacks and all kinds of fresh produce. A large section of the market features inexpensive goods, such as clothing, fashion accessories and personal care products. Targeting mostly Thais, Warorot Market is a great place to get a feel for the local way of life. The three-storey building is close to the riverside and easy to find, just at the end of Chang Moi Road, east of the moat and north of Chiang Mai Night Bazaar.
 

Wat Chedi Luang is a Buddhist temple in the historic centre of Chiang Mai, Thailand. The current temple grounds were originally made up of three temples — Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Ho Tham and Wat Sukmin.  Wat Chedi Luang's massive chedi (pagoda) was built sometime between 1385 and 1402, during the reign of King Saen Muang Ma, 7th ruler of the Mengrai dynasty and is a distinctive feature of the Chiang Mai skyline. At its peak, the chedi measured 60 metres across at the square base and 80 metres tall and was once the home of the Emerald Buddha, Thailand's most sacred religious relic.

Hop on board the “Sam Lor”-Trishaw to enjoy a great atmosphere of an old town through the Three Kings Monument, to commemorate the founder King – King Meng Rai when he was invited other 2 close friends; King Ramkhamheang and King Ngoam Muang to select the site for the new capital of Lanna Thai Kingdom and named “Nopaburi Sri Nakornping Chiang Mai”.

Wat Phra Singh is perhaps the second most venerated temple in Chiang Mai after Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. It houses three main structures, the main attraction being the elegantly decorated Lai Kam assembly hall and its restored murals depicting the lives of locals hundreds of years ago.

Located inside the old city wall, at the western end of Ratchadamnoen Road, the temple’s signature Lanna-style roofs and glittering viharn (assembly hall) invite visitors. The walled-in temple compound is busy with visitors and worshippers all year round.

Next, proceed to explore Chiang Mai old town, visit two of the most famous monasteries in Chiang Mai and be enthralled by the beauty of these spectacular yet delicate Northern Thai architectural works of art: Wat Phra Sing and Wat Chedi Luang. Transfer to local fresh market and walk around Warorot Fresh Market to see local trade of food and flower. You will have a chance to taste local food like fruits, sticky rice, grilled pork, Thai sausage etc.

Return to hotel.

Elephants sanctuary aimed to save the elephant from living with fear,and bring elephant back to their home in naturally remote area and living there peacefully. After arriving at the venue, you will change into the uniform provided. Then, learn basic information about the elephant and the sanctuary. Introduce to the elephant, feeding by hand and being with them closely. Mud bathing and take a walk along with the elephant, let them roaming and eat natural grass in the forest. Bathe and swim with them. Have lunch at the sanctuary. Then start trekking along the scenic trail to the rafting camp and raft for 1 hour.

Khantoke Dinner & Traditional Performance

Next, ending the day with a Khantoke Dinner, a customary northern Thai Style of eating with food being served in large platters at low tables while sitting on mats on the floor. Tasting northern style food and enjoy local dances of north.
